Recharge is a mobile application, available for iPhone and Android. It is used by corporate travelers and influential locals to book upscale hotel rooms by the minute, anytime they need to freshen up after a red-eye, find a quiet place to work, squeeze in a workout, or have a home-base between meetings.
Wait! Guests can check in and check out whenever they want? How does this help my business?
We believe in optimizing vacancy. Rooms often sit vacant for over twelve hours a day prior to an overnight guest checking in. Recharge gives our clientele access to those rooms, in between overnight stays, increasing incremental income.
Our customers are influential locals and corporate commuters and travelers, who are willing to pay a premium price to access a luxurious home-away-from-home.
Customers use Recharge for a quiet, luxurious, and private place where they can take a nap, order room service, make a private call, or Recharge between meetings or before evening events. It’s a more comfortable and useful alternative to working from a coffee shop, fighting commuter traffic, or freshening up in an office.
Yes. We partner with tech, consulting and finance companies to offer both their local and visiting employees a place to Recharge. Our corporate partnerships include companies such as Orrick, Google, and Deloitte.
Everything is done within the Recharge Hotel Dashboard. Each hotel controls their inventory and can adjust their Recharge availability from the Dashboard in real-time.
Recharge is currently available in San Francisco hotels and New York City!
It’s very similar to booking an Uber. In just two taps, they can book and confirm their Recharge stay on the app. After booking Recharge guests are notified that they have 30 minutes of complimentary travel time to reach the hotel. Payment begins when they check in and pick up their key at the front desk, or 30 minutes after they tap Book Now.
Hotels can make anywhere from $250,000 to one million per year in incremental income depending on hotel size and inventory allocation.
No. Recharges are booked in real-time and guests arrive within 30 minutes after booking their room on the app. We work with our hotels to ensure consistent availability, so there's no need for customers to book in advance.
A hotel can be at 100% occupancy and still have a 35% room vacancy prior to overnight guests checking in. Many of our hotels which regularly run at 95% occupancy and over are making an additional six-figure profit using Recharge.
The majority of our guests check out in the Recharge app. A handful may come to the front desk and check out directly with the Front Desk.
In the event that the guest checks out in the Recharge App, the guest will be notified in the Recharge app that a room attendant is on their to the way to clean the room, prompting the guest’s timely departure from the room. The notification also alerts the guest that if he or she is found in the room after checking out, he or she will be fined an overstay fee.
In the event that the guest checks out directly with the Front Desk, the Front Desk agent will log into the Recharge Hotel Dashboard and check the guest out in the 'Guest' page. Just click on 'Check out' next to the Guest's name in the Hotel Dashboard.
For both cases, the hotel will also check the guest out in the hotel PMS.
The guest price per minute will vary, based on the city. One set rate, for example, is $50/hour in New York City for 4-star hotels.
With Recharge, guests can book a room whenever they want, day or night (subject to availability on the app). Unlike a traditional booking, there are no set check-in or check-out times.
Hotel managers will have desktop and mobile access to the Recharge Hotel Dashboard where they can manage room allocation.
